State Senator Lee Beyer
A former State Senator, Lee Beyer was appointed by Governor Kitzhaber to serve on the Public Utilities Commission in 2001 and in 2003 appointed as Chair of the commission by Governor Kulongoski. Prior to this appointment, Beyer worked for over 25 years in the business and industrial development field. During this time, he served on the Springfield City Council and then in the Oregon Legislature. Beyer and his wife Representative Terry Beyer have three grown children and have lived in Springfield for over 36 years. Beyer currently serves as an elected member of the Willamalane Park & Recreation District, as a member of the Springfield City Planning Commission, and is a Board member of the Wildish Community Theater.
