Partnerships in Education Town Hall

Please join Rep. Phil Barnhart for a town hall on Partnerships in Education.

The effects of the Great Recession have reminded us how important quality public schools are to Oregon’s future and the futures of our children. Community organizations have partnered with our schools to create meaningful programs that help students stay in school, get motivated, and expand their skills and interests. Rep. Phil Barnhart invites you to a town hall on July 24th to discuss educational partnerships and further options for strengthening Oregon’s public schools, including:

  • Reducing class size.
  • Protecting vocational training, music and arts classes.
  • Ensuring a full school year.

Brad Avakian, Commissioner, Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI)

Kristin Gunson, Career Technical Regional Coordinator, Lane Education Service District

Lyle Lang, Youth Program Coordinator, Lane Workforce Partnership

Angie Dow, Downtown and Duck Store Branch Manager, Oregon Community Credit Union
