Coos Bay: Presidents' Day Third Annual Fundraiser - Election Kickoff

The celebration will take place at the Broadway Rock Hall next to Shark Bites restaurant across from the Egyptian Theater in downtown Coos Bay on Presidents Day, Monday February 20 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Admission to the event is $15 per person in advance, $20 at the door.

Advance tickets may be purchased by cash or check at Shark Bites, Truffles in Bandon, Roger’s Zoo in North Bend, Marino’s Boots and Saddles in Coquille, or by calling 541-756-8898.

Democratic leader Richard Kuznitsky and local author Lionel Youst will deliver an address about Presidents Washington and Lincoln.

Sumptuous Shark Bites appetizers will be served, and a no-host bar will be available. Local guitarist David Aakre will provide entertainment.

All Democrats and the general public are cordially invited.

“This was a terrific and fun event the last two years,” said Coos County Democrats Chairperson, Mo Aakre. “Honoring George Washington and Abraham Lincoln reminds us that Americans persevere through difficult times when we have quality leadership.   Today we have the right leader in Barack Obama. This celebration is an opportunity not only to show support for him, but also to pay tribute to the great leaders of the past.”

Attendees can register to vote, connect with local Democrats, meet elected representatives, and raise a glass in honor of our nation’s greatest presidents.
