Eugene: MS Walk with Bill Bradbury and Friends
Why We Fight MS
While it may be difficult for some to physically stand with multiple sclerosis, taking a stand to find a cure is at the core of why we fight. The symptoms of MS are different, and devastating, for everyone; the only certainty is that it affects another person every hour of every day.
Why We Walk
Team Bradbury participates in the Eugene-MS Walk for the second year in a row because we want to do everything we can to help find a cure for this debilitating disease. Over ten years ago, progressive champion Bill Bradbury was diagnosed with MS. As our former Secretary of State, currently serving Oregon as a gubernatorial appointee to the Pacific Northwest Electric Power and Conservation Planning Council, knowbody knows better than Bill Bradbury that there is no cure for multiple sclerosis. However, Bill Bradbury, positive and empowering, encourages folks diagnosed with MS - or not - to never give up and keep fighting to make a difference and help find a cure.
Why You Should Sponsor Team Bradbury
Bill Bradbury is a truly inspirational individual. The founder of For the Sake of the Salmon and former Secretary of State of Oregon proves that adversity and dedication to causes larger than oneself are critical elements to success. Moreover, Bill is an ardent champion for education funding, expanding healthcare coverage, economic recovery and positive environmental stewardship. Most notably, Bill fights for change while battling MS.
Your support of The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Team Bradbury's quest to find a cure is greatly appreciated!
Why donating to the National MS Society is key
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from the MS Walk to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we choose to walk (or "roll" via Segway) for those who sometimes can't, because we choose to donate to the MS Walk, we are getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."
